Reading List for Incest and Sexual Abuse Survivors
Suggestions for
Adult Survivors of Incest & Sexual Abuse
The
author has published a booklet that offers suggestions for adults seeking
recovery from childhood incest and sexual abuse. The booklet
includes helpful information for dealing with flashbacks, dissociation,
spontaneous regressions, relationship and sexuality issues, and related
issues. The booklet is designed to speak to both male and female
survivors of heterosexual and gay/lesbian/bi-sexual audiences. In
addition to working as a therapist with incest and sexual abuse survivors
since 1980, the author is also a survivor herself and adds this additional
empathy and experience to her writing. This booklet can
be confidentially purchased online now or ordered by phone or mail.
Order this booklet today.
The author also offers free suggestions with new advice
being posted monthly. Go to
The
Survivor's Suggestions Website to see this month's tips. There your
will also find a page with
messages of hope to help you in your recovery journey.
We invite those of you further along to post your own hopeful message to
encourage those who are just beginning.
The author is also a psychotherapist offering
individual, family, couples' and group therapy with an
emphasis in
treating both adult and adolescent sexual abuse survivors. She has an
office in Phoenix, Arizona and also offers occasional Weekend Intensive
Workshops and Retreats.
The author also publishes
free monthly suggestions on separate sites.

Self help and other
reading materials are intended to be used in conjunction with professional
therapy services. Reading materials and other media can often result in
increased symptoms due to additional memories being triggered and the
reader needs to be prepared for this. Some of these books are very
graphic and may produce intense emotions for the reader. Survivors are
encouraged to educate themselves about incest and sexual abuse and to use
as many tools as are available for healing. Please discuss any
disturbing reactions with your individual and/or group therapists.
